Stampin with Liz Design: Create a Smile Challenges!

Hi there fellow crafters! Today it is time for a new Create a Smile Challenge! Are you all ready for this fun challenge? Theme for this challenge is a fun moodboard! I hope you will all enter of course, can't wait to see your take on the moodboard! You can enter this challenge worldwide and have a chance at winning a € 25 gift certificate to spend at Create a Smile stamps! For those of you who don't own a Create a Smile stamp set yet, you can use one of the freebies that are up on their site!

I love a good moodboard, you can interpret it anyway your fantasy lets you! I'm sharing my take on the sketch with you today, hope you'll like it! I used the adorable stamp set Cart Full of Treasures for this card, there are the most adorable koala's in this set! I love it when a stamp set is very versatile, let me tell you, this one certainly is! You can change the content of your cart by using one of the four images that you will find in this set. I used the birthday koala, hiding in a gift box to create a birthday card, but you can also use the garden plants to make it a general card, just for you, or fourniture, to change it into a new home card! Or use the very adorable little party koala's that are also in this set! Amazing right?

Using a moodboard, you can use any idea that comes to mind. I really loved the blue wooden planks and the little chalkboard, so I tried using that idea on my own card. I also love the cute little bunny, lol, I would love to pet it, but don't try to use every single detail, I think it's best to stick to one or two things to make your card work! Just a tip, I sometimes think moodboards with a lot going on can be a bit overwhelming, just to make it easier!

I choose a white base card and started building my card up. I used a piece of white paper with wood grain printed over it. I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to change the white colour into a light blue one. Don't be afraid to colour your patterned paper! I don't often change the colour, but every once in a while I do by blending it, to make it a better fit for my project! I then added a chalkboard, created from a light kraft paper and a black paper. I used rectangle dies to diecut my paper. To give my chalkboard a bit more of a chalk look, I rubbed my embossing buddy over the black paper to leave a bit of a white powder look. I added the text on my black paper, stamping it with Versamark ink, then using white embossing powder and heat setting this all with a heat tool. I then stamped the fun koala images and fussy cutted them. Fussy cutting can be so therapeutic! I coloured the images with Copic Markers. I added my chalkboard and stamped images with dimensionals on to my card! Fot those of you who are entering this fun challenge, have fun creating!

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!
