Stampin with Liz Design: Happy Birthday Thinlits Card!

I'd like to share a fun technique with you today. This technique is actually this weeks theme at TGIF Challenges. I must say I think this is my first eclipse card, at least knowingly about this tehcnique now, lol, not completely sure. But a gorgeous technique it is!

I used a piece of Basic Gray Cardstock. On top of that you'll find Crumb Cake Cardstock and Glossy White Paper. I stamped the last one with the gorgeous little flowers from the Happy Birthday Stamp set in Versamark ink and Gold Embossing Powder.

I'll say it again, applying ink works so easily on this paper when you apply it with a sponge. After stamping I coloured the background using that technique with two ink colors, Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride.

At last you apply the eclipse technique. When your background is totally finished, you diecut your text and lift it above your card by using dimensionals. I think this technique rules!

Stampin with Liz Design: Painted Autumn Card!

Sometimes things don't go as planned. We were supposed to enjoy a nice week on vacation with our family in Germany, the Eifel region. Unfortunately we left early for home because of dental issues on my part. After a few days with pain and then litterarly feeling really sick, we did travel home. Not fun of course, but we can look back at a few amazing days together, despite the uncomfort. I saw the fun sketch at Global Design Project and was bummed I had to let that one go. So what do you do when you are home earlier than expected? Enter of course! We now just have a good excuse to travel again to finish what we couldn't now!

Prachtige bossen in herfstkleuren!

The Eifel is gorgeous this time of year. Autumn seems to reach their first before it comes to us. Just amazing al the forest there in Autumn colors! So today a card in autumn style! I used the beautiful Painted Autumn Design Paper for this card.

The base of this card is made from Sahara Sand Cardstock. On the front you'll find a piece of Garden Green Cardstock under a piece of the gorgeous design paper. A beautiful sunflower up front, cut from piece of the design paper, amazing!

You can find the gorgeous leaves in the stamp set Painted Harvest, with a matching punch. I keep loving that! I like to cut as little as I can. I used the leave on my background as well. With a small piece of Linen Thread, this card is finished!
