Stampin with Liz Design: My Favorite Things Magical Friends Card!

Hi there crafters! Welcome today at a new Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Today I'm sharing a fun card created with one of my favourite new stamp sets, the Magical Friends stamp set from My Favorite Things! I created a few fun cards with this set before, which you can find here and here! I just love the friendly dragons in this set and their adorable human friends!

I love movies with dragons, knights and a whole lot of fantasy, so this is a stamp set I really enjoy. There are a few different dragons in this set, all so friendly looking and a few adorable kids too. A little mini fantasy tale all together in a stamp set! There are also speech bubbles, a small castle, a diamond and a crown in this stamp set. You can let your fantasy go for sure with this amazing set, create your own fantasy tale! I kept my story simple today! It is all about a sweet little girl and her friendship with this gorgeous green dragon! I just can imagine watching a movie with them both in it, flying hi in the sky above the city!

I used a white card base for this card and used a front panel, on which I created a fun night scene with a dark blue sky, some clouds and the girl with her dragon friend flying over the city. I diecutted a piece of white cardstock with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die, also from My Favorite Things, for sure on of my favorite dies! I blended this piece of paper with a dark blue colour, called Chipped Sapphire, a Distress Oxide ink from Ranger. To get a bit of a darker blue colour, I also added Night of Navy ink from Stampin' Up. I added some white paint spatters on to my background. I certainly love using spatters, just to make your background a bit more interesting. I use just a drop of white paint on a clear block, mix a waterdrop with this and then use a brush to spatter it with on to my card. I use a bo to spatter in to keep my crafting space clean, it does get a bit messy! I then added the clouds that I stamped on my panel and the block with houses, that I diecutted with the Our Town dies from My Favorite Things. I then stamped the dragon carrying his sweet friend and coloured these cuties with Copic Markers. I coloured a piece of white cardstock with a pink Copic Marker to stamp my tekst on. If you don't have matching cardstock to your card, create your own with a Copic colour! I let this dry a bit and then stamped the text "We Are Invincible Together' on this piece of paper with Versamark ink. I then sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat setted it with a heat tool. I added the cute image and the text with dimensionals on to my card! Just a cute story on a card, hope you'll enjoy!

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!
