Stampin with Liz Design: Stampstories Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new Stampstories Blog Hop! Today a few of the ex-Artisan Team Members are hopping again, all within the Wedding Theme! Make sure to scroll down at the end of this post to see some more amazing inspiration from the other so talented Stampstories team members! I created a wedding card with the Hand Delivered stamp set for this theme!

I started this card with a base from Thick Whisper White Cardstock. I then added a piece of design paper in grey stripes. For my front panel I diecutted a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with a Stitched Rectangle Die and then sponged my background using Pool Party ink and a Stamping Sponge.

After sponging, I stamped the background with Versamark ink with the Tree Rings background stamp and then added White Embossingpowder and heatsetted this with a Heat Tool to get a nice structured look! I then added a small piece of sponged cardstock, I used Night of Navy ink for this part and added a circle which I diecutted from Smoky Slate cardstock with a Stitched Circle.

I then stamped the lady holding the wedding cake with my Stamparatus. This is a great tool to align your stamps with. Being that this image is stamped with two stamp pieces, it works just perfectly! I fussy cutted this fun image and coloured it. I wanted to create a bit of a romantic look and gently coloured my image with Smoky Slate and Night of Navy ink by using a Blender Pen.

Stampin with Liz Design: Oh My Ostrich Card!

Welcome to a new blog post! Today I'd like to show you all a fun, but simple card! I created this card with the Oh My Ostrich stamp set from Mft stamps. I thought this set was so funny with the Ostrich that sticks his head in to the ground and then the matching text! These birds are just so much fun!

For this card I choose a  longer card base then my usual A2 card size, so all the ostriches from the set would fit. I do love the longer and smaller cards though! I masked a frame with masking tape and coloured my background with a blending tool and Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen Ranger Distress ink. I masked the underground with masking tape that I diecutted with a die from the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics. I added some spatters to make the sand look more real.

I then stamped and diecutted the ostriches. I use a Scan 'n Cut machine from Brother, but you can get coordinating Oh My Ostrich Die-namics with this stamp set of course! I coloured these cuties with Copic Markers and added them to my card with dimensionals. I stamped the fun text in the middle above to finish my card!

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

Stampin with Liz Design: Happy Hippos Card!

Hi everyone, welcome to my new Blog Post! Today I'm sharing a fun Birthday card, you can never have to many Birthday Cards in stack right? We have some birthdays coming up, so I thought I would get busy, lol. For this cute card I used the MFT stamp set Happy Hippos! I send my card in to the Birthday Challenge over at Mft Challenges!

I used a white card base for my card that is a bit thicker then normal cardstock, I love using the Thick Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' Up, it doesn't say what it wheighs, but it is sturdier then normal cardstock and makes for a nice firm card base. I create  my cards in A2 size. I then coloured a piece of white cardstock with a blending tool and Wilted Violet, Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmelade Distress ink from Ranger. I diecutted the front panel with the largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-namics.

I diecutted my front panel again with the Happy Birthday Script Die and then diecutted a piece of silver Glimmer Paper with the same Die, so I could place the text right in my front panel. I added the three cute hippos that I coloured with Copic Markers and diecutted with the coordinating Happy Hippos Die-Namics. I spiced up my background a bit by adding Plum Pudding Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

Stamping with Liz Design: Wonderful Woodland Friends Card!

Hi, welcome (back) to my blog! I've been showing some inspiration cards this week with the new products that are available at Mft stamps for January. Today I have one more! I created this sweet card with the Wonderful Woodland Friends stamp set. The critters in this set are just so adorable!

For this card I used a white card base, and started creating a background in pink and purple colours. I thought it would give my card a nice loving touch. I used a Blending Tool and distress ink to colour my card base with, using the colours Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry. It is bright, but if you love pink and purple, they go really well together! I added some white paint spatters to my background and created a snow underground with the Stitched Snow Drifts Dies. I used two pieces to make it a more dimensional look.

I then added a frame on top of my card base with dimensionals, which I diecutted with two different sizes Stitched Rectangle Dies. I added my stamped and diecutted images on to my card with dimensionals after colouring them with Copic Markers. I added the text stamped on black cardstock using white embossing powder to finish this sweet card.
