MFT Stamps - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #549!

Hi there crafters! Welcome to a new sketch challenge at MFT Stamps! We are having such a fun sketch up this week, I created a Mermaid card with the sketch in mind to inspire you all with!

I started this card with a card base created from Summer Splash Cardstock. I added a front panel, which I diecutted with a Stitched Rectangle and created a fun background on, keeping the sketch in mind!

I blended two stripes, using Sno Cone, Summer Splash, Lazy Day and Cornflower ink. I added loads of splatters on this piece, to make them even more fun! Sometimes a card doesn't need much more to have an amazing background!

I then added the sentiment and fish on my background, both from the Mermazing stamp set. I then stamped, diecutted and coloured the fun Mermaid and fish images from the Mermazing and Gill Friends stamp set and added them to my card!

Create cards, layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch for a change to win a gift voucher at My Favorite Things! You can add your project to the InLinkz that are up at the MFT Stamps Blog! Good luck!

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

MFT Stamps - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #544!

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new sketch challenge at My Favorite Things! This week we are having a fun new sketch up, I created a card with the adorable Mermazing and Gill Friends stamp sets with this sketch in mind!

I started my card with a white slimline card base. I blended the background on there in a light blue colour, keeping the sides of my base nice, clean and white by using masking tape. I added some fish from the Mermazing stamp set on to my background, using a darker blue ink, on the places the circles would be according to the sketch.

I added a front panel, which I diecutted with the stitched die from the Slimline Basics Die-namics and started working on an underwater sea background. I used dark blue tones and added some rays of sunlight, which break through the watersurface using the Ray of Light stencil.

I then diecutted a few circles from my front panel, matching this amazing sketch. I used the negative space behind them as shaker frames and added some sequins and glitter behind them. I then stamped all the cute underwater images from both sets, diecutted them and coloured them with Copic Markers before adding them on to my card using dimensionals.

Stampin with Liz Design: My Favorite Things Mermazing Card!

Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! Today I'm sharing a new mermaid card, I just love doing those! Not only the mermaids and water creatures are fun, I always enjoy creating a fun water scene! This card was created with the Mermazing stamp set from My Favorite Things!

I started this card with the new sketch in mind, for this weeks challenge at My Favorite Things! I love entering these competitions, loads of ideas come in mind when I see a sketch or moodboard. A great starting point to get creative!

For me I thought the lower stripes could be peaces of the sea bottom and my idea started. I used a white card base in A2 size and added a white panel on there, diecutted with a Stitched Rectangle Die. I started creating my underwater scene on this panel, first with the blue water. I blended my panel with two blue colours of Ranger Distress Oxide ink. I added some rays of sunlight by using the Ray of Light Stencil. I love adding those on a sea card, like the sun shines through the water surface down!

I then stamped al the seaweeds, plants and a few fish in a blue colour on my background, added some splatters and water bubbles. Then I added three pieces of the bottom, using the Stitched Snow Drifts dies and Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink from Ranger. To finish this fun card with, I added a few images from the amazing Mermazing stamp set, diecutted and coloured them and then added these cuties with dimensionals on to my card!

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

Stampin with Liz Design: My Favorite Things Mermazing Card!

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing some mermaid fun! I so love these gorgeous images from the Mermazing stamp set from My Favorite Things!

This set is one of my favourites, I used three mermaid images on a slimline card! I created a fun underwater scene on this card. I started by masking my slimline card on the sides using masking tape. I then blended the sky with a blending tool, the Mini Cloud Stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I then blended the water, using the Waves Stencil, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink.

For the bottom of the sea, I diecutted a piece of white cardstock with a die from the Stitched Scalloped Basic Edges dies and blended this piece with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink. I then stamped the text and the cute little fish on my card base. I stamped the images from the set, coloured them with Copic Markers and added them on to my card using dimensionals. I'm sending this card in to the new challenge at Simon Says Stamp! This weeks theme is summer, when I think of summer I think of the sun and the beach, so a sea card for me certainly means summer!

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time! Have a great weekend everyone!
