Stampin with Liz Design: SugarPea Designs Chunky Monkey Card!

Hi there everyone! Today I'm over at the SugarPea Designs blog with a new fun card! I just love the cheeky monkeys from their Chunky Monkey stamp set!

For this card I used a white card base. I then diecutted a front panel with a die from the Stitched Rectangle dies set. On this panel I creataed a rectangle frame, which I blended with different green colours of Ranger Distress Oxide ink. I added some splatters to make my green background even more interesting!

I then stamped and diecutted these cute monkeys from the Chunky Monkey stamp set and coordinating dies. I coloured these mischievious cuties with Copic Markers and added them on to my card using dimensionals. I used Versamark ink for the text from the set on black cardstock, heat setting this with white embossing powder and a heat tool.

Stampin with Liz Design: SugarPea Designs Chunky Monkey Card!

Hi there crafters! Today I'm over at the SugarPea Designs blog with a card full of monkey fun! These cute little fellows come from the Chunky Monkey stamp set!

I choose a slimline card base for this fun card from white cardstock and masked the sides of my card base to keep nice, clean white borders. I then started blending a background using a blending tool and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide ink from Ranger. I added a few leaves using the Leaf Canopy Stencil, a blending tool and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink.

For the bottom part I diecutted a piece of white cardstock with a die from the Card Front Element Builder set. I blended this piece with Brushed Corduroy and Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink and stamped the fun text from the set 'It's your Birthday, go Bananas!' on the bottom. I then stamped, fussy cutted and coloured the fun images from the stamp set before adding them on to my card base using dimensionals.

Hi there crafty friends! Welcome to a new Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Today I'm sharing another card I created with the goreous stamps of SugarPea Designs! This fun stamp set is called Chunky Monkey!

Hoi allemaal! Welkom bij weer een nieuwe Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Vandaag deel ik graag een nieuwe kaart die ik gemaakt heb met de prachtige stempels van SugarPea Designs! Deze gave stempelset heeft Chunky Monkey!

I just love these little monkeys, they are so adorable! I picked three of these cuties and the brench from the set and coloured them after diecutting with Copic Markers.  I then started working on my background, which I kept very simple, grass and clouds!

Zo leuk zijn deze kleine appjes, erg schattig! Ik heb drie van de leukjes uit de set en de tak gekozen en deze na het stansen gekleurd met Copic Markers. Ik ben hierna begonnen aan mijn achtergrond, welke ik vrij simpel heb gehouden, met alleen gras en lucht!

I blended both parts with Distress Oxide ink from Ranger. I diecutted the grass parts with a grass die and added the clouds by using a stencil. After blending, I added the fun text It's Your Birthday, go Bananas!  I love working with Nuvo Drops, so added a few drops in a gold colour and then added my images with dimensionals to my card!

Ik heb beide delen geblend met Distress Oxide inkt van Ranger. Ik heb het gras gestanst met een gras framelits en voor de wolken een stencil gebruikt. Na het blenden, heb ik de tekst It's Your Birthday, go Bananas! gestempeld. Ik vind de Nuvo Drops erg leuk om mee te werken en heb in een goud kleur wat druppels aangebracht. Hierna heb ik mijn afbeeldingen met dimensionals op mijn kaart geplaatst!

Stampin with Liz Design: Chunky Monkey Card with a Video Tutorial!

Welcome at a new Stampin with Liz Design Blog Post! Yesterday I showed you guys a sweet card with a stamp set that I aquired from SugarPea Designs. I promissed you a second card from this fun brand and here it is today with a Card Video Tutorial! I created this monkey card with the Chunky Monkey stamp set, aren't these monkeys the cutest?

I started this card with a card base from thick white cardstock in A2 size. I blended the background in two colours of green Distress ink from Ranger, Lucky Clover and Shabby Shutters. I added some spatters in Lucky Clover and Black ink. I added the text with Black Tuxedo Memento ink.

I thought it would be nice to hang a monkey at the top on a tree brench and decided to use a panel with leaves to create a fun furrest panel. I diecutted a piece of Vellum paper with the Leafy Frame Wafer Die from Simon Says Stamp and added this to my base.

I then stamped the fun monkeys using a stampin tool. I diecutted these with the coordinating dies and coloured them with Copic Markers. You can see the which colours I used in the photo below.
