Stampin with Liz Design: SugarPea Designs Mix it up Challenge!

Hi there crafters! Sharing a fun underwater card today with you all that I created for this months Mix it up Challenge at SugarPea Designs! I used one of my favorite stamp sets for this card, the Mermaid Kisses stamp set!

I started this fun acrd with a white card base and added a front panel, which I diecutted from white cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle die from the Card Front Element Builder dies. I blended a totally blue background on there with three colours of blue Ranger Distress Oxide inks. I then added loads of splatters, to make it more fun!

After blending, I started working on a text block for my card. I used black cardstock and Versamark ink. After stamping the text I used white embossing powder and a heat tool to set the stamped text. I then stamped the fun images from the set, diecutted them with the coordinating dies, and coloured them with Copic Markers, before adding them on to my card using dimensionals.

Hi everyone! I'm excited to announce that a new Mix it Up Challenge starts today at SugarPea Designs! Hope to see some of you giving this fun challenge a try! I created this shiny fun card with the Mermaid Kisses stamp set, hope you love some glitter!

I used a soft blue card base for this adorable card and added a front panel, which I diecutted with a die from the Postage Stamps SugarCuts. I created a fun background on this panel using the Wave Stencil and Distress Oxide ink. I used glitter on my blended part to make the background really sparkle!

I added a piece of patterned paper at the top of my blended part, just as a subtle item to match the sketch. I then stamped, diecutted and coloured the fun images from the amazing Mermaid Kisses stamp set and added them on to this cute card! I used glitter for the mermaid's tail as well, sparkles all over this card!

Hi there crafters! Have you seen the fun Mix It Up Challenge at SugarPea Designs this month? If you haven't entered already, I hope you will of course! I created a card to inspire you with for today with the Mermaid Kisses stamp set!

You can enter this challenge worldwide and have a change on winning a $ 50 gift certificate! The more times you enter, the better chance you have! You can pick the sketch, or mix them both! I choose t0 use the sketch this time! 

I started this card by using a white card base on which I placed a front panel from white cardstock which I diecutted with the scalloped stitched die from the Card Front Element Builder - SugarCuts. I blended a fun background on this panel, keeping the sketch in mind!

I started with the sea, which I created by blending the sea using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink from Ranger and the Wave stencil. I used masking tape between the sea and the sky and also to create the sun, which I blended with Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmelade ink. I used Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick and Black Soot for the night sky. I stamped the text from the set "Mermaid Kisses and Starfish Wishes underneath the sun. I added some Nuvo Drops to make the background look more amazing! I stamped the cutest little mermaid ever from the set, fussy cutted her and coloured her with Copic Markers, before adding her on to my card using dimensionals.

Hi everyone! Hope you all enjoyed the weekend! Today I'm sharing a fun mermaid card, don't you just love a good mermaid card? I created this card with the gorgeous stamp set Mermaid Kisses from SugarPea Designs!

Hoi allemaal! Hebben jullie ook allemaal van het weekeind genoten? Vandaag deel ik graag een leuke zeemeerminkaart, wie houd daar niet van? Ik heb deze kaart gemaakt met de prachtige stempelset Mermaid Kisses van SugarPea Designs! 

As you probably know, I just love underwater scenes! I guess the blue water and the tropical fish really appeal, lol! Wouldn't mind a beach holiday, sun and sea, especially now it's winter and very cold here. One can only dream! 

Zoals je waarschijnlijk wel weet, houd ik wel van een onderwater scene! Ik denk dat het prachtige blauwe water en de tropische vissen aantrekkingskracht hebben, haha! En wie kan het me kwalijk nemen, zon en zee, daar dromen we toch van met deze druilerige winter? 

I started working on my underwater scene first! I added different colours of blue Distress Oxide ink from Ranger by blending my card. To create the waves, I used masking paper that I diecutted with waves dies. I then added the water plants and cute mermaids and fish! I added clouds by using a stencil and the fun tekst from the set It's Your Birhday! Make a Splash!

Ik ben begonnen met werken aan mijn onderwater scene door verschillende blauwe kleuren Distress Oxide inkt te gebruiken om mee te blenden. Ik heb de golven gemaakt met masking papier die ik gestanst heb met golven framelits. Ik heb de waterplantjes, schattige zeemeerminnen en de visjes toegevoegd! De wolken heb ik geblend met een stencil en ik heb de tekst It;s Your Birthday! Make a Splash! toegevoegd.
