Stampin with Liz Design: Bike Ride Card!

Gisteren ging er weer een nieuwe challenge van start bij Global Design Project en daar ben ik graag bij! Heerlijk vind ik dat om te doen, wanneer ik er tijd voor kan vrij maken, zijn challenges voor mij een heerlijke ontspanning om aan mee te doen. Soms ook met succes, mijn kaart van vorige week was één van de winnaars deze week. Maar met deze kaart een nieuwe poging!

Yesterday a new challenge started at Global Design Project and I'm game! I love doing those, whenever I can take the time, to me entering a challenge is the ultimate me time. Sometimes with succes, my card from last week was one of the winning projects over there. But with this card another try then!

Deze week is het uitgangspunt van mijn kaart een sketch. Ik ben momenteel helemaal in to de geweldige embossing paste en de Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Ik vond de stenen erg leuk bij de sketch passen en ben met deze als uitgangspunt papier en een stempel uit gaan zoeken.

This week I started my card with a sketch. I'm totally in to the amazing embossing paste and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. I thought the stones really fitted the sketch and started from there, picked my paper and stamps after that.

De basis van deze kaart is van Whisper White Cardstock met op de voorgrond een vel uit de Wood Textures Designer Series. Daarop heb ik de embossing paste aangebracht. Deze heeft even een droogperiode nodig, maar een paar minuten is zeker voldoende! Ik heb een randje met draad aangebracht, heel eenvoudig met de paper piercing tool.

The base of this card is in Whisper White Cardstock with on front a piece of paper from the Wood Textured Designer Series. I applied the embossing paste on that. It needs a bit of time to dry, but no longer than a few minutes. On the side I applied a stitch, so simple to do with the paper piercing tool.

De fiets uit de geweldige Bike Ride stempelset is met White Emboss poeder en een heat tool op Vellum aangebracht. Erg sereen, om de achtergrond meer kracht bij te geven en dan toch met nog een beetje kleur door de bloemen in het mandje. De tekst komt uit de Pieces & Patterns stempelset.

The bike from the gorgeous Bike Ride stamp set is applied on Vellum with White Embossing powder and a heat tool. Very serene, the background still pops, but with a bit of color because of the basket with flowers. The text is from the Pieces & Patterns stamp set.

Stampin with Liz Design: Blog Hop Creation Station!

Vandaag wil ik heel graag mijn eerste bijdrage aan de Creation Station Blog Hop met jullie delen! Voor een paar weken terug werd ik gevraagd of ik deel uit wilde maken van het geweldige Creation Station team. Ik heb daar helemaal niet over na hoeven denken, ik voel mij vereerd om mee te mogen doen! Hop jij ook mee om inspiratie op te doen bij de andere geweldige design team members? Today I'd like to share my first contribution to the Creation Station Blog Hop with you all! A few weeks back I was asked to join this amazing team. I didn't even have to think about that, I'm so honoured to be a part of that! Are you hopping along with us to get some great inspiration by the other amazing design team members? This months theme is the new In Colors!

Ik heb er voor gekozen om alle 5 In Color kleuren op één kaart te gebruiken. Prachtige frisse kleuren zijn het dit jaar. Ik ben er erg blij mee.

I choose to use all the 5 In Colors on one card. Beautiful bright colors they are this year, I'm very happy with them!

De basis van deze kaart is een strook Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock. Daarvoor heb ik een stuk watercolor paper gebruikt en een achtergrond aangebracht met watercolor techniek in de kleuren Lemon Lime Twist en Tranquil Tide.

The base of this card is made from a piece of Lemo Lime Twist Cardstock. On top of that I used a piece of watercolor paper and applied a background with watercolor technique in the colors Lemon Lime Twist en Tranquil Tide.

Daarna heb ik met de embossing paste en een stencil een prachtig reliëf aangebracht. De tekst en de bloem kun je vinden in de geweldige nieuwe stempelset Graceful Garden, zet deze maar alvast op je lijstje!

Than I created a great background with the embossing paste and a stencil. The text and flower you can find in the amazing new stamp set Graceful Garden, which you should really put it on your wish list!

Een achtergrond maken met de embossing paste is makkelijker dan het geweldige resultaat doet vermoeden. Je kunt het natuurlijk zonder te kleuren gebruiken, maar je kunt de pasta ook heel makkelijk een kleurtje mee geven. Ik heb mijn clear block even op mijn inkt pad gedrukt, zodat het wat inkt overneemt en daar vervolgens mijn pasta door heen gerold tot je een egale kleur hebt. Met de spatel breng je het vervolgens makkelijk over de sheet op je papier aan. Voor deze leuke Craft schriften heb ik een washi tape gebruikt en 2 andere sheets uit de set. In de set vind je ook nog een sheet met wolkjes.

Creating a background with the embossing paste is easier than it looks. Yo can use it in the color that it comes in, but you can easily give it a color you want with ink. I tapped my clear block on an ink pad so that it takes on a bit of ink. Than just rol a bit of the paste over your block till it has an even color. You can apply the paste by using a palette knive and rub that over your sheet on your paper.
For these fun notebokes I used washi tape and 2 other sheets from the set. You can find a fourth sheet in the set with clouds as well.
