Stampin with Liz Design: Happy Hippos Card!

Hi everyone, welcome to my new Blog Post! Today I'm sharing a fun Birthday card, you can never have to many Birthday Cards in stack right? We have some birthdays coming up, so I thought I would get busy, lol. For this cute card I used the MFT stamp set Happy Hippos! I send my card in to the Birthday Challenge over at Mft Challenges!

I used a white card base for my card that is a bit thicker then normal cardstock, I love using the Thick Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' Up, it doesn't say what it wheighs, but it is sturdier then normal cardstock and makes for a nice firm card base. I create  my cards in A2 size. I then coloured a piece of white cardstock with a blending tool and Wilted Violet, Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmelade Distress ink from Ranger. I diecutted the front panel with the largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-namics.

I diecutted my front panel again with the Happy Birthday Script Die and then diecutted a piece of silver Glimmer Paper with the same Die, so I could place the text right in my front panel. I added the three cute hippos that I coloured with Copic Markers and diecutted with the coordinating Happy Hippos Die-Namics. I spiced up my background a bit by adding Plum Pudding Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

Stampin with Liz Design: So Much Love Card!

Hi and welcome to another blog post! With a lot of winter weather here this week, I had some time on my hands and created another card! I just love this little girl, couldn't stop creating with this fun little stamp set called So Much Love! This fun set is available at Mft stamps!

I wanted to create a sweet, simple card that would go great with this adorable image of the girl making a heart with her hands. I used white cardstock to create a base with for this card, A2 size. I stamped the gorgeous text 'Your Heart is One in a Million' in the middle at the bottom of my card. This text comes from the stamp set Sweet Nothings. Make sure to check this set out at Mft stamps, it contains more gorgous sayings!

I then used masking tape for the bottom to keep it clean and started colouring my background with a Blending tool and Worn Lipstick Distress ink. I applied it just lightly around where I wanted my stamped image to be. I added some hearts with a background stamp called Scattered Hearts. To just get the hearts into my blended part, I masked the rest of my card to keep it from getting stamped on to. I used Worn Lipstick Distress ink again.

I stamped the image on Solar White Neenah cardstock, which is the best choice for colouring with Copic Markers if you'd ask me, I love it. I diecutted her with the coordinating dies to the set and then coloured her. I added this sweet girl with dimensionals on to my card.

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

Stampin with Liz Design: Forever and Owlways Card!

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new blog post! Today I'm sharing a fun, sweet card created with the stamp set Forever and Owlways from MFT stamps. This set is just gorgeous, I'm just in love with the titel of this set, which in this case, there is a text stamp which includes the title as well. Just too cute!

I used a White Cardstock base in A2 size for this card. I diecutted a piece of White Cardstock
with the largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-namics. I coloured this piece of paper with a blending tool and two colours of Ranger Distress ink, Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers. I added some spatters with a slightly darker blue colour, Faded Jean Distress ink and Peacock Feathers. I stamped the stars from the set in the corners of where my frame would come with Tumbled Glass ink.

I created a frame using Gold Glimmer Cardstock and a the second smallest die from the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics. I placed it on my card using dimensionals. I then stamped the images with Black Tuxedo Memento ink on Solar White Neenah Cardstock. I coloured them with Copic Markers, using the colours Y21, Y23, E33, E35, E37, E39, E55, E57, E59, R02, R32, R24, R29, YG05, YG07 and YG09.
, but I

You can of course diecut these fun images with the coordinating Forever and Owlways Die-namics, but I didn't think the white outline it gives, would match this card, so I fussycutted my image just on the stamped black line. I added my images with dimensionals and added some sweet hearts above the two cute owls. I stamped the fun text just right under my golden frame with Black Tuxedo Memento ink to finish this card!

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

After finishing this card, I thought it would fit the running challenge at Mft perfect, al though I didn't have the sketch in mind when I started. Funny how that turned out!

I just fall in love with the little bunny riding her car, I totally bought this set just for that image, lol. But I must admit, the other bunnies are very adorable as well! There are three sweet bunnies in this set, driving a car, sitting or shopping, just very fun!

I started this card with a base from White Cardstock in A2 size. I then created a fun front panel that I diecutted with the largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Stax Die-Namics. I blended a part of my sky using Peacock Feathers Distress ink and a blending tool and added some spatters in the same colour. I added two pieces of Green Cardstock that I diecutted with the Grassy Edges Die-Namics. I added the road using the Open Road Dies and Grey and White Cardstock.

I then added the bunnies and tree that I diecutted with the coordinating Sweet Somebunny Die-Namics. I coloured these images with Copic Markers. I will list the colours below. I added the fun text 'To Somebunny Very Special' in the left corner with Black Tuxedo Memento ink to finish my card.
Copic Markers used:
R11, R20, RV02, RV04, RV13, RV14, V12, V15, V17, BG10, BG11, BG13,
