MFT Stamps - Slimline Card Challenge!

Hi there crafters! Welcome today at a new Slimline Challenge at MFT Stamps! Join the design team this month to create a slimline card with gift cards in mind! I'm sure you all have friends or family who have it all, or you just don't know what to get for. They are so much fun to give housing them in a handmade, thoughtfull card!

I picked a white slimline card base for this card and added a front panel, that I diecutted with the Slimline Starter Die-namics. I started blending a fun background on my panel, using Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Distress Oxide ink. I used the fun stencil Wonky Dots and Something Blue ink to create the fun dots with. 

I then added the hilarious text 'You're not a Year Older, 2020 Didn't Count' from the Festive Old Friends stamp set and three of the old friends that you'll find in this set too, which I diecutted and coloured with Copic Markers. I staged them just around my gift card!

My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 5!

Hi there crafters! Are you all ready for the May Release Countdown day 5 at My Favorite Things? this release contains so many wonderful new products, amazing as always! Today I'm sharing a fun slimline card created with the fun new Festive Old Friends stamp set! You're never too old to party!

A fun slimline card with a bunch of oldtimers lol, enjoying a birthday party! Such a great set to create a fun birthday card with to send to a birthday boy or girl of any age, the sentiments in this text are amazing and funny! I also used a fun new stitched alphabet, the In Stitched Alphabet Die-namics!

I started this slimline card with a white card base and then masked the sides of my card to keep nice, white, clean borders. I then started blending a fun background. I used the new Punched Pattern Stencil for a slight detail on to the floor, just by blending with a slightly darker colour over the blended floor part. I added loads of splatters on the wall, just to make my background a bit more interesting!

I then started stampin all the fun characters from the stamp set. Don't you just love these fun granny's and grandpa's? I added them to my card using dimensionals. I stamped the text Happy from the stamp set (I left the birthday part of the stamp out, lol) and added the word Bday, which I diecutted from black foam using the In Stitched Alphabet Die-namics.
