Stampin with Liz Design: SugarPea Designs Mix it Up Challenge!

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing some fun inspiration for the SugarPea Designs Mix it up Challenge for this month! Have you seen their challenge? I created a fun summer card with the Hey Summer stamp set!

You can enter this challenge worldwide and have a change on winning a $ 50 gift certificate! The more times you enter, the better chance you have! You can pick the sketch, or mix them both! I choose to use both this time!

I started this card with a white card base, adding a front panel I diecutted with a die from the Stitched Rectangles dies. I masked a rectangle in the middle of my front with masking tape and starting working on a fun summer background. I just love the sea, so I blended a sea using the Wave Stencil and Ranger Distress Oxide ink in blue colours. I blended the sky as well in a softer colour blue. 

I then added the text 'Hi There' from the stamp set, which I stamped with Versamark ink on black paper, sprinkled with white embossingpowder and heat setted it with a heat tool. I then added a circle on which I also blended a background using the Wave stencil. I then started working on the vocal point of this card, the fun images from the stamp set. I stamped these cool guys, diecutted them with coordinating dies and coloured them with Copic Markers before adding them on to my card using dimensionals.

Hi everyone! Have you seen the fun Mix It Up challenge that is up on the SugarPea Design blog? If you have entered already, you still have time to! I created a fun card to inspire you with, using the the amazing stamp set Hey Summer! Hope to see you all there!

I just love the colours of this moodboard, you can enter worldwide and have a change on winning a $ 50 gift certificate! The more times you enter, the better chance you have! You can pick the moodboard, or the sketch, or mix them both! I choose to mix them!

I started this card with a card base in a soft blue colour! I then diecutted a piece of white cardstock with the SugarCut - Postage Stamp and started on working on a background. I masked the sides of my panel to keep nice white borders and started blending waves and clouds using the Waves and the Outdoor Scene Builder stencil and Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink from Ranger.

I stamped the tekst Hey Dude from the Hey Summer set just right underneath the waves I created. I then stamped, diecutted and coloured the fun images from this set. I so love this beach bum, I added an ice cream in his hands, placed a surfboard right behind him and added the cutest little bird on top! Who doesn't want to go hang out on the beach now?

Stampin with Liz Design: Hey Summer Card!

Hi my crafty friends! I'm still in summer moods, we have one week untill school starts again for the girls, so I created another summer card! I so fell in love with these cute summer bears and their surf boards, reminded me a bit of my husband in his younger years! Not so much the bears, lol, but the surf boards! These amazing stamps are from SugarPea Designs, this stamp set is called Hey Summer!

Hoi allemaal! Ik ben nog steeds in zomersferen, ondanks het sippe weer op dit moment. De meiden hebben nog één week vrij van school, dus denk begin nog heerlijk aan een zomerkaartje! Ik was helemaal verliefd op deze stempels, de gave beertjes met hun surfborden. Deed me een beetje denken aan mijn man toen hij jonger was, niet zozeer de beertjes, haha, maar de surfplanken! Deze geweldige stempels komen uit de stempelset Hey Summer van SugarPea Designs!

Aren't these cuties a great way to start of your weekend? I thought I create a nice beach scene where they would have fun on their surf boards and choose a long sized card base to make this happen. I stamped, diecutted and coloured these fun images. I then started working on my background.

Zijn deze schatjes niet erg leuk om je weekeind mee te beginnen? Het leek mij leuk om een leuke strandsfeer te creëren waar deze mannen met hun board plezier konden hebben. Ik heb weer gekozen voor een langwerpige kaart. Ik heb de leuke afbeeldingen gestempeld, gestanst en ingekleurd. Hierna ben ik gaan werken aan mijn achtergrond. 

I masked the sides of my card with masking tape to get a clean white border. I then started blending a background using a blending tool and ink. I used Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink from Ranger for the beach and Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass ink for the sea and the sky. I created the waves using the Make Waves stencil from Mft stamps. I'd love to send this card in to the running challenge at Simon Says Stamp!

Ik heb de zijkanten van mijn kaart met masking tape afgeplakt om mooie witte randen over te houden en ben hierna begonnen met blenden, door een blending tool en inkt te gebruiken. Voor het strand heb ik de kleur Antique Linen Distress Oxide inkt van Ranger gebruikt, voor de zee en de lucht Salty Ocean en Tumbled Glass. De golven heb ik gemaakt met behulp van de Make Waves stencil van Mft stamps. Ik zend deze kaart graag in naar de lopende challenge bij Simon Says Stamp!
