Stampin with Liz Design: Gull Gang Card!

Hi there crafters! Welcome to a new Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Today I'd like to share some seagull fun with you! I've created a card before with this amazing stamp set called Gull Gang from Create a Smile stamps, which you can find here, so love this set! So today some more inspiration with these cheecky fellows!

I have to admit, I'm not a big bird fan, lol, I'm a huge animal lover, but something about the flying creatures gives me the creeps. I prefer animals that stay on the ground I guess. But, I do love them on a card, luckily, they don't flap with their wings here! This cheecky threesome look like they are all ready to be a bit mischievous! Want to know how I created this fun card? Let me tell you! I started this card with a white card base in A2 size (which is aproximately 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). I then diecutted a fun front panel from a piece of white cardstock with the largest die from the Postage Stamp dies from SugarPea Designs. These dies are really a good investment, I use them a lot to create panels with! I then started working on a fun background, using a stencil, a blending tool and ink.

I find the circles from the In Circles stencil from Create a Smile really mesmerizing! Aren't they stunning?!  I used this fun stencil for my background. I wanted to stay inside the stitched lines from my panel and keeping some white space at the bottom, so in order to keep these spaces white, I used masking tape to cover them with. I blended the circles on to my panel with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink from Ranger, my definite ink to go to for blending! Keeping my stencil on it's place after blending, I spattered some blue ink spatters on to this background to make it a bit more interesting, but keeping the white circles white! I stamped the text 'You're Part of My Gang' underneath with Black Tuxedo Memento ink.

I then wanted to add some more fun details on to this clean background and created a few drops with the Nuvo Crystal Drops bottles in the colours Simply White and navy Blue. Just love how easy you can make these gorgeous drops! I then stamped the seagulls, the poles I wanted them to sit on and some french fries from the set. This set doesn't come with coördinating dies, but off course you can easily fussy cut them or maybe you own a cutting machine. I love fussy cutting, totally relaxing! I coloured these fun items with Copic Markers and added them on to my front panel using dimensionals. I love using dimensionals between my front panel and card base as well, so I did for this card too. Hope you enjoy! Stampin with Liz Design: Fly a Kite Card!

Welcome today at a new Stampin with Liz Design blog post! I'm so excited to share a new, fun card with you! I created this card with a new stamp set, Fly a Kite from Hello Bluebird! I saw so many great stamp sets and cards coming by from this amazing brand, but couldn't find a European store that had them. I just had to had them, so I finally ordered in the US, you can imagine how I felt when this package came in!

Welkom vandaag bij weer een nieuwe Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Vandaag laat ik jullie graag een nieuwe kaart zien die ik gemaakt heb met een nieuwe stempelset, Fly a Kite van Hello Bluebird! Ik heb al zolang lopen zoeken naar een winkel die dit prachtige merk verkoopt, maar kan ze in Europa helaas nergens vinden. Dan maar uit de US, haha, kon het niet laten!

You can find a lot of fun critters in this amazing stamp set and I wanted to use them all on my card. I used a smaller, longer card base for my card to make this possible. I love this size, it gives your card such a cool layout! All the cute animals are holding a kite, isn't this just a sweet scene or not? I had a lot of fun crafting with them!

In deze set vind je een aantal leuke diertjes die ik graag allemaal op mijn kaart kwijt wilde. Om dat te laten passen, heb ik voor een smalle, lange kaart gekozen. Ik vind deze maat geweldig, het geeft vaak een prachtige layout aan je kaart! Alle diertjes houden een vlieger vast, leuker gaat het niet worden! Ik heb me in ieder geval zeker vermaakt met deze set!

I blended my background for this card with two colours of Distress from Ranger, Spun Sugar and Mermaid Lagoon. I also blended the grass part for the bottom with Distress ink, I used the colour Twisted Citron and then diecutted this with two different dies from the Grassy Hills Dies from Mft stamps.

Ik heb de achtergrond van deze kaart met twee kleuren inkt gekleurd, Spun Sugar en Mermaid Lagoon Distress inkt van Ranger. Ook het grasgedeelte heb ik gekleurd met inkt en een blending tool. Hiervoor heb ik de kleur Twisted Citron van Ranger gebruikt. Ik heb daarna het papier gestanst met twee verschillende thinlits uit de Grassy Hills set van Mft stamps. 

I then stamped and diecutted the cute critters and coloured each and everyone of them with Copic Markers. I added them to my card using dimensionals. I added the text Up, Up & Away to finish this fun card! I'd like to send this card in to the running challenge at Simon Says Stamp, this week's theme is bright colours!

Ik heb alle diertjes gestempeld en uitgestanst. Daarna heb ik ze allemaal gekleurd met Copic Markers. Vervolgens heb ik ze op mijn kaart aangebracht met dimensionals. Om de kaart af te maken heb ik als laatste de tekst Up, Up & Away aangebracht! Ik stuur deze kaart graag in naar de lopende challenge bij Simon Says Stamp, waar het thema bright colours is deze week!

Stampin with Liz Design: Birthday Scene Card!

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Are you in for a super sweet card? I love to combine the color pink with blue, I used this color combination before, it is just so sweet! For today's card I used the gorgeous little stamp set Birthday Scene from Pretty Pink Posh!

Hoi allemaal! Welkom bij weer een nieuwe Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Vandaag deel ik graag met jullie een super schattig kaartje! De combinatie roze en blauw vind ik erg gaaf, ik heb deze combinatie al eerder gebruikt, hij blijft leuk! Voor mijn kaart van vandaag heb ik de stempelset Birthday Scene gebruikt van Pretty Pink Posh!

I started my card by creating a card base in A2 size. I like using thicker white cardstock for my base. I then created a front by diecutting white cardstock with the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics from Mft. I then blended this with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. For the bottom I used two pieces of blended paper with Spun Sugar Distress ink, that I diecutted with the Stitched Cloud Edges from Mft.

Ik ben begonnen met het snijden van een kaart op maat. Ik gebruik graag kaarten in A2 maat van dikker wit cardstock. Daarna heb ik een voorkant gecreëerd met de grootste framelits van de Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics van Mft. Deze heb ik gekleurd met Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. Voor de onderkant van mijn kaart heb ik 2 stukjes geblend papier met Spun Sugar Distress inkt gebruikt, die ik gestanst heb met de Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics van Mft.

Then I stamped the cute image from the stamp set. This image is actually just one piece and so cute! I then diecutted it with my Scan 'N Cut machine from Brother. I love this machine! I then coloured the image with Copic Markers and added it to my card with dimensionals!

Daarna ben ik begonnen met het stempelen van de gave stempel uit deze set! Deze stempel is één geheel en super schattig! Ik heb de afbeelding vervolgens uitgesneden met mijn Scan 'N Cut Machine van Brother. Ben erg blij met deze super machine! Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met Copic Markers en op mijn kaart aangebracht met dimensionals!
