Stampin with Liz Design: Deck the Howls Card with Video Tutorial!

Welcome today at a new Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Hope you are all having a nice creative day! Today I'd like to share a fun Christmas Card with you that I've created with the amazing Deck the Howls stamp set with coordinating dies from My Favourite Things.

I wanted to create a see through window for this card. I diecutted a piece of white cardstock first with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die and then with the Jumbo Peek-a-Boo Circle die.

I then created a winter scene by blending a piece of white cardstock in three Distress ink colours, Mermaid Lagoon, Faded Jeans and Black Soot. After blending I added some white ink spatters to create a snow look. I used a bit of white paint for this technique which I thinned with a bit of water. Just use a brush and tip some spatters with it on to your paper.

I took this cute little Christmas dog as a focal point for my card, I just love this doggy stamp set! I coloured him with Copic Markers. Then I coloured some white cardstock with a Copic Marker in red, the same marker as I used for my dog, for the text. I stamped my text with Versamark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. Then heat set the text with a heat tool for a nice textured feel. If you would like to see how this card came about, check the video below or watch on YouTube in HD! Make sure to follow my YouTube channel or follow me on social media!

I would like to send this card in to the sketch challenge over at Card Challenges from MFT! Will you enter as well? I always love a great sketch! Thanks for watching today, I hope I will see you soon!
