Stampin with Liz Design: Create a Smile All Hands on Deck Card!

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Today Í'm sharing some pirate fun! Have you seen these amazingly cute koala pirates from the All Hands on Deck stamp set from Create a Smile Stamps? They are so my favorite!

I designed for Create a Smile last year and I must admit, I so do miss their amazing challenges. So I thought it would be fun to be at the other end this time, and enter a card. I thought this sketch was so much fun and created a cute beach scene where these adorable little pirates are searching for their treasure!

I started this card with a white card base and then diecutted another piece of white cardstock with a  stitched rectangle die. On this panel, I blended  fun background. Creating a beach on the bottom part, and a soft pink sky above. I diecutted a few clouds from masking paper, to keep nice, white clouds before starting to blend my background.

I then added two strokes of blue blended paper, to create the sea and placed my cute koala's in front of that. I added the text 'You're a Treasure' from the stamp set just a bit above my water part to finish this cute card with. Make sure you check their amazing challenge, there is still time to play along!

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

Stampin with Liz Design: Create a Smile Challenges!

Hi there everyone! Today a new challenge starts at Create a Smile Challenges, yeah!! We have a fun sketch for you this challenge, hope you will all compete! I created a fun card with the amazing stamp set All Hands on Deck!

You can enter this challenge world wide and have a chance at winning a € 25 gift certificate to spend at Create a Smile stamps! For those of you who don't own a Create a Smile stamp set yet, you can use one of the freebies that are up on their site!
I started my card by thinking about the sketch first and decided to turn the sketch on it's side. I started with a white card base in A2 size (which is approximately 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). I added  front panel that I diecutted with a Stitched Rectangle die in the same size and started working on a fun background. I masked a rectangle with masking tape and blended a blue sea using Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink from Ranger.

I added some blue splatters on the white background to make it a bit more fun! I then stamped the text 'You're a Treasure' from the set just above the sea and added the images that I stamped, fussy cutted and coloured with Copic Markers on to my card using dimensionals. They stand for the three circles you see in the sketch. To top this card with, I added a piece of vellum on which I stamped waves with Versamark ink, using white embossing powder, heat setting this with a heat tool. The waves come from the fun stamp Ocean Waves.

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

Stampin with Liz Design: CAS on Friday Challenges!

Hi everyone! I'm excited to annouce that today a new challenge starts at CAS on Friday Challenges! Hope a lot of you will play along ofcourse! This week we are having a fun sketch, I created a card with the amazing All Hands on Deck stamp set from Create a Smile Stamps!

I love a good CAS (clean and simple) card, for me it means loads of white with a fun image that just shines on a simple card! I started this card with a white card base in A2 size (which is approximately 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). I then diecutted a piece of white cardstock with a Stitched Rectangle die and started working on a square that I blended with the Concentric Circles stencil from SugarPea Designs and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink from Ranger. I use masking tape to create a square with.

I then stamped the fun images from the stamp set, the cool koala and the two flag poals. You can use a sketch in any way you'd like, you can use the sketch just exactly as you see it, or use it as your own interpretation. I used the two stripes at the left side of the sketch as flag poals, just my interpretation!

I fussy cutted the images and coloured them with Copic Markers. I then stamped two rowes of waves, which are from the Simon stamp set from Jane's Doodles, one on vellum and one on white cardstock, which I blended with dark blue colours of Distress ink. I stamped the white wave on vellum, using Memento Embossing ink and white embossing powder. Just gently heat set this with a heat tool! I added the images with dimensionals on to my card and stamped the text "You're a Treasure just underneath!

I hope you enjoyed todays card! See you all at the challenge I hope!

Stampin with Liz Design: Create a Smile Challenges!

Hi everyone! Are you all ready for a new Create a Smile Challenge? Today we are having a fun sketch theme! Can't wait to see what you will all create! I created a fun card with the All Hands on Deck stamp set to inspire you all with!

A sketch is certainly a fun way to get your creativity started. You can choose to follow a sketch the way it's designed or take parts from it into a free interpretation to get you started! As long as we can see the original sketch back into your design! I choose to look at it in a free manner, I took the three large stripes and thought it would be fun to use the flag poles to represent them!
I started my card with a white card base in A2 size (which is approximately 4 1/4" x 5 1/2") and then diecutted a front panel with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. I blended my panel with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink and added some splatters and white and Navy Blue drops with Nuvo Crystal Drops on to it. I stamped the word Yoho! twice from the stamp set before adding the images.

I then diecutted a second and third piece for my front panel, once with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die and again with a Snow Drifts die. I blended these with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink, to create beach sand. I then stamped, fussy cutted and coloured the fun images from the set with Copic Markers. I added them and the beach on to my card using dimensionals. Aren't these koala pirates adorable?

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time! Stay safe everyone!

Stampin with Liz Design: Create a Smile Challenges!

Hi everyone! Today it is time again for a new challenge at Create a Smile Challenges! Are you ready? I hope you are all safe and feeling crafty, this weeks theme is a great moodboard! So I hope you will enter, can't wait to see what you all will create! You can enter this challenge world wide and have a chance at winning a € 25 gift certificate to spend at Create a Smile stamps! For those of you who don't own a Create a Smile stamp set yet, you can use one of the freebies that are up on their site!

Christine from Create a Smile stamps created another amazing moodboard for us to get inspired by! Don't you just love the pastel colours! This moodboard to me says totally spring! Spring and easter of course! I'm really fed up with the rainy long winter, so this moodboard is so welcome, lol!
I choose to use the pastel colours for my card, which I created a fun background/scene with. I used the amazing stamp set All Hands on Deck! I just love the cute pirate koala's that you can find in this fun stamp set! Today I used 4 of these rough and tough cuties! I think they are not so tough as they look though, lol, they are just too cute!

I've used a white cardbase in A2 size (which is apapproximately 4 1/4" x 5 1/2") and blended a fun background in soft colours using a blending tool and Ranger Distress Oxide inks, in the colours Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass. For the beach bottom I used Antique Linen ink. I diecutted the beach panels with a stitched Snow Drifts die-namics. I then added a rectangle frame with dimensionals on to my background, creating a bit more depth. I added some coloured spatters to my background and then started colouring my stamped images. I added these with dimensionals to my card as well, arr!!

Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!
