Stampin with Liz Design: My Favorite Things Birth-Yay Card!

Hi everyone! Sharing a fun CAS (clean and simple) card with you today! I created this fun birthday card to enter the sketh challenge of this week at Mft stamps with the fun stamp set Birth-Yay!

I thought this sketch with the balloon was really fun! A sketch is such a great way to start creating with! I just thought of a balloon and the rest followed, lol! I choose to use three balloons, three text lines and a lot of fun critters to match this fun sketch!
I started this card with a white card base in A2 size (which is approcimately 4 1/4" x 5 1/2") and diecutted a front panel with a Stitched Rectangle die. I blended three balloons on to my front panel, using the Big Balloons stencil, a blending tool, Mermaid Lagoon, Squeezed Lemonade and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink from Ranger.

I then stamped the three text lines in the right corner, with the bigger lettertype going from big to small! I then stamped the gorgeous critters from the stamp set, fussy cutted them and coloured these cuties with Copic Markers. I added these adorable animals to my card using dimensionals and then added my front panel on to my card using dimensionals as well.

Stampin with Liz Design: My Favorite Things Birth-Yay Card!

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Today I'm sharing a card that I created inpired by a card I came across on the internet. Do you guys have that too, I love roming around on Instagram and Pinterest to see what you all created and sometimes come across an idea which you can see totally happening with a stamp set that you have in your craft stash? I usually start in a different way, but for this card I came across I really could my version in it and before I knew it, I was creating this fun card with the Birth-Yay stamp set from My Favorite Things! A simple idea, but it certainly spoke to me, so for this card, credits to Francine Vuilleme who shared an adorable, fun card which inspired me!

I love the fun images of this and Francine's card, the simple, but very appealing background that just fits the images used. I usually like to be original, lol, but sometimes a good idea is just fun to case! I used a light blue card base for this fun card and started working on a fun front panel that I added later with dimensionals. I blended a sky with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink from Ranger with a blending tool and the Mini Cloud stencil and then blended a piece of cardstock with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink from Ranger, which I diecutted after blending with a die from the Grassy Edges Die-namics from Mft stamps.

I stamped the gorgeous text 'Wishing You a Birthday Spent with Your Favorite People' from the set in the left corner of my card. I then stamped a few of the fun images that you can find in this amazing set on Solar White Neenah paper, which is fabulous to colour on with Copic Markers. I just love the cute critters in this stamp set, they will make any card a party for sure! I coloured these cuties before adding them on to my card using dimensionals as well.

Stampin with Liz Design: Birth-Yay Card!

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another card that I created with the Birth-Yay stamp set from My Favorite Things. This set contains such cute party animals, I just can't resist them! You guys know I like entering a fun sketch challenge, this card is created with the sketch at the new Mft stamps challenge in mind!

For this card I used a white cardstock base in A2 size, a bit thicker cardstock then usual, so you get a nice firm base. I then started to create a fun birthday background scene. I used a piece of white cardstock for the sky that I blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink from Ranger using the Mini Cloud stencil. I added some grass parts that I also blended, using Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist ink from Stampin' Up and dies from the Spring Scene Builder and Grassy Edges Die-namics.

I diecutted a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock from Stampin' Up with the Our Town Die-namics and added that between the grass and sky. For the bottom I choose some festive design paper that comes from the On-Point Patterns Paper Pack. I then added the text Birthday Wishes, that I diecutted from White Foam with the Birthday Wishes Die-namics.

But of course a fun card wouldn't be fun without some stamped images! I stamped three cute animals for this card and a balloon from the stamp set. I diecutted them and started colouring these with Copic Markers, couldn't live without those any more! Saving this fun card for a little friend that will be another year older soon!

Stampin with Liz Design: Birth-Yay Card!

Welcome (back) at a new blog post today! Just yesterday I told you guys that I do love a fun challenge, so I'm back today with another entrance to a challenge at Mft, lol, a sketch challenge this time. They certainly are my favorite, a sketch is always a great way to start of you card!

I recently bought a fun background die, which I thought was perfect for the sketch. This fun die is called Oval Burst die and is created by Avery Elle. So I started my card by thinking I'm going to use this panel. I then choose a fun stamp set which I just find any excuse for to use, lol, I adore this amazing set, the Birth-Yay stamp set from My Favorite Things! I just love the stapled cuties in this set!

So I stamped these irresistable party animals and diecutted them. I then coloured them with Copic Markers. I stamped the text You've Reached New Heights on dark grey cardstock with Versamark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I then heat setted this with a heat tool, to create a fun structured look. I then had the ingrediënts for my card ready, all I needed was to decide what my card base would have to look like. 

I choose the colour Picked Raspberry, a Distress ink from Ranger and blended a white A2 sized card base. I added spatters with the same colour of ink and added some bokeh circles by using a white ink. I added my panel and image with dimensionals on to my base. To finish this card I just added a few sequins!

Stampin with Liz Design: Birth-Yay Card!

Hi everyone! Did you see the new release from Mft stamps this week? I ordered a lot from this amazing release. I already warned you yesterday more cards with the new stamp sets are coming up, lol! Today I took the stamp set Birth-Yay out to play, I so love these fun critters!

I Always create cards in A2 size, for this card I used a white base. I thought these fun guys could use a fun and bright background. I diecutted a piece of white cardstock with the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangles Die-namics and coloured it with a blending tool and Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink from Ranger.

At the top of my card I added the tekst Birthday Wishes that I diecutted with the Birthday Wishes Die-namics. I added some adhesive sheet behind my cardstock before diecutting so it will make this thin image adhering to my card so much easier!

I coloured these fun guys with Copic Markers. You can diecut your stamped image with the coordinating Birth-Yay dies, but I most admit I use my new Brother Scan 'N Cut, so my diecutted image can look a bit different then it would be from the actual dies. I added my image on to my card with dimensionals to make them really pop! Aren't they fun?
