Stampin with Liz Design: Swinging By Card!

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new Stampin with Liz Design Blog Post! Today I'm sharing a card trying something new! I love creating cards with a fun background and coloured images with Copic Markers. But I keep seeing these gorgeous cards that are entirely coloured with Copic Markers, including the background and that is new for me! So I created a card today using this technique, giving Amy Young all the credit for the background idea, as I used her amazing card as an example to try this fun technique! Check out her gorgeous site, she is really a colour artist!

Hoi allemaal! Welkom bij weer een nieuwe Stampin with Liz Design Blog Post! Vandaag deel ik graag iets nieuws met jullie! Ik houd er van om een mooie achtergrond te creëren en mijn afbeeldingen in te kleuren met Copic Markers. Ik zag toch prachtige kaarten voorbij komen waarbij de kaart geheel met Copic Markers is ingekleurd, inclusief de achtergrond en dat is voor mij toch wel geheel nieuw! Ik heb voor vandaag een kaart gecreëerd met deze techniek, waarbij alle credit uit gaat naar Amy Young voor de achtergrond! Ik heb één van haar prachtige kaarten gebruikt om deze techniek eens uit te proberen! Bekijk haar prachtige site eens, wat een talent!

I used a cardbase for this card in A2 size using thick white cardstock. I added a front panel that I diecutted with the largest rectangle framelits from the Stitched Rectangles Set from Mft stamps. I stamped the image from the super cute little stamp set Swinging By from Neat and Tangled in the middle of my card and coloured it with Copic Markers. I then started drawing the trees and grass with a black fineliner around the stamped image to create a background and coloured everything with Copic Markers to try and make it look anything like Amy's! Well, I will need some practice I think compared to her, but do like the end result for a first time!

Ik heb een basis voor mijn kaart gebruikt in A2 formaat van dik wit cardstock. Ik heb een voorkant gestanst met de grootste framelits uit de Stitched Rectangles set van Mft stamps. Ik heb de prachtige afbeelding gestempeld die je vind in de kleine, superschattige stempelset Swinging By van Neat and Tangled in het midden ongeveer van mijn kaart en ingekleurd met Copic Markers. Vervolgens ben ik de bomen en het gras gaan tekenen met een zwarte fineliner en alles ingekleurd met Copic Markers om mijn kaart ook maar een beetje te laten lijken op de prachtige kaart van Amy! Hmm, ik denk dat ik nog wat oefening nodig heb om hetzelfde resultaat te krijgen, haha, maar ben tevreden met mijn eerste poging!

So if you want to give it a try, can't wait to see what you will create! Amy posted all of the colours she uses to create her cards, so I'm sure I will try some more of her amazing ideas! Have fun trying too!

Ben heel erg benieuwd voor diegenen die deze techniek ook willen proberen, wat jullie gaan maken! Amy posts all de kleuren die zij voor haar kaarten gebruikt, heel handig, ik kom daar vast nog wel vaker om haar geweldige ideëen nog eens uit te proberen!

Stampin with Liz Design: So Foxy Card!

Welcome today to a new Stampin with Liz Design Blog Post! I'm sharing a simple card today, but a cute one! Check out the Video Tutorial for this card at the end of my post!

I used the super cute stamp set So Foxy from Neat & Tangled.  I started with a white base for my card, A2 size which I blended with a blending tool and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide ink at the bottom of my card. I then used the Whimsical Woodgrain Background stamp from My Favorite Things with the same ink color.

I then added a white front panel that I diecutted at the bottom with a die from the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics from Mft. I blended the area behind the fox with a blending tool and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink from Ranger.

I then stamped and diecutted the cute fox from the stamp set. I use Solar White Neenah Cardstock for colouring with Copic Markers. I stamped the text For My Foxy Friend after colouring. Stampin with Liz Design: Swinging By!

Hi everyone! I'm sharing a new card today, a very cute one I think! I found this very sweet stamp at Neat & Tangled, this small stamp set is called Swinging By!

I created a background for my card first. I used thick white cardstock as a base, in A2 size. I created a skyline by using the Mft Cloud stencil and Tumbles Glass Distress Oxide ink from Ranger that I applied with a sponging tool. I created a grass part on which the Elephant stands with Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide ink. I stamped the grass stamps from the set at the top of my sponged underground to give it a more detailed look.

I added some spatters in a dark yellow colour, I used Mango Melody ink for this part from Stampin' Up. I added the text in the upper middle of this card. I stamped it with Versamark ink and applied gold embossing powder on top. Once you heat set this with a heat tool, you get a nice structured text!

I then stamped my vocal point for this card, the super cute Elephant and swinging girl! Isn't this just a very sweet image? I like stamping and colouring on Solar White Neenah cardstock. I diecutted my image with my Scan 'N Cut machine from Brother, but there are also framelits available for this set. I coloured these cuties with Copic markers and added my image with dimensionals on to my card.

Stampin with Liz Design: Beavers Eh Card!

Het is weer tijd voor een nieuwe Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Vandaag deel ik graag dit lieve kaartje met de super schattige bever met jullie! Wat is dit kereltje leuk! Je vind dit mannetje in de stempelset Beavers Eh van Neat & Tangled.

It's time for a new Stampin with Liz Design blog post! Today I'd like to share this sweet card with you with the amazingly cute beaver! Isn't this guy the sweetest? You can find this fun fellow in the Neat & Tangled stamp set Beaver Eh.

De basis voor deze kaart is van Crumb Cake cardstock gemaakt van Stampin' Up. Daarvoor heb ik een strook Whisper White Cardstock gebruikt die ik gestanst heb met de Wonky Stitched Rectangles Die van My Favourite Things.

The base for this card was created with a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock from Stampin' Up. In front of that I used a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that I've diecutted with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die from My Favourite Things. 

Ik heb de achtergrond gekleurd met een blending tool en Peacock Feathers Distress inkt van Ranger. Een hele leuke en makkelijke techniek. Dip de blending tool met spons op de inkt en ga dan met ronde bewegingen over het papier.

I coloured my background a bit with a blending tool and Peacock Feathers Distress ink from Ranger. A fun and easy technique. Just dip the sponge of the blending tool on to your ink and then go about it in round movements over your cardstock.  

Ik heb de bever ingekleurd met Copic Markers, onderaan deze post kun je de kleurnummers vinden die ik hiervoor gebruikt heb. Voor het kleuren heb ik ze uitgestanst met de bijpassende framelits. Ik heb het schattige mannetje en 2 hartjes met dimensionals op de kaart aangebracht en de tekst er onder gestempeld.
