MFT Stamps - Sketch Challenge!

Hi there everyone! It's wednesday, so yeah, there is a new sketch up at MFT Stamps! Join us in creating a fun project for a change to win a $ 50 gift Voucher at MFT Stamps! I created a fun card for you to get inspired with, using the Up in the Air stamp set!

I choose a slimline card base for this card and then added a front panel, which I diecutted from White Cardstock with the stitched rectangle die from the Slimline Starter Die-namics set. I started working on a fun background for the cute images from the Up in the Air stamp set.

I added loads of splatters to my background, which I love the effect it gives! I used masking tape to keep the space underneath my blended part nice and clean. I used two different colours of blue ink to blend the middle part with. 

I then stamped, diecutted and coloured all the fun images from the stamp set. I added them on to my card using dimensionals. I then added the sentiment from the set, which I stamped with Versamark ink on black cardstock, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat setted this with a heat tool.

Stampin with Liz Design: Up in the Air Card!

Hi everyone! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! We actually enjoyed a little camping trip this weekend, we had some nice spring weather here in the Netherlands, so we decided to enjoy! So all ready to get started on some new projects! I'm starting this week off with a fun card I created with the stamp set Up in the Air from Mft stamps.

You might have seen the new sketch challenge at the Mft Card Challenges this week. I always love using a fun sketch as a starting point for a card, it takes you places, you otherwise might not have gone! I thought the stamp set Up in the Air would be fun to use for this sketch, these cute animals look like they are just peeking over the blue area, aren't they fun? I actually started this card with these cuties, stamping them and them masking them to start blending the bottom part of my card.

I blended a line beneath the animals with Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and underneath that I used Peacock Feathers Distress ink from Ranger. I then added some dots with the Confetti Stencil set, so glad I got my hands on these stencils. At first they were sold out pretty fast, so when they came online again, I jumped at buying these! I used Picked Raspberry and Faded Jeans Distress ink and Adirondack Snow Cap ink to create the dots using the stencils and a blending tool. 

I then started my skyline. I stamped some clouds and two fun hot air balloons, which you can ll find in the stamp set Up in the Air. I masked these as well and created a sky with clouds, using the Cloud stencil, a blending tool and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. After blending everything, I removed my masking paper and started colouring the images. To finish this fun card, I added the text "You're Growing Up, Up, Up", which I stamped with Versamark ink on black cardstock, sprinkling this with white embossing powder and then heat setting this with a heat tool.
